ALONG ALLIGATOR ALLEY By Cecelia Lyden

oil on canvas board

6x8

This is another FLA landscape, done from a photo, while I wait for the weather to warm up. It's nearly April and the temperatures are below freezing here in PA. Plein air painting for this 70 year old is not "on the table."

  1. You've obviously done a lot of plein air painting, as it shows! Doesn't look like you worked from a photo. very nice!

  3. Thank you for your positive comment. I've been painting plein air for almost 2 years, but I have been painting full time for about 10 years. I still have a lot to learn about plein air painting, but I have learned that once you paint "up close and personal", it's difficult to stay indoors when the weather is good. Our plein air group in central PA, Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters group is featured on the Widget on the right. We just formed that group last year and are dying to get out there again.
