This is a plein aire painting of a small portion of the Governor's backyard in front of windows facing the Susquehanna River. Most of the trees had lost their colorful foliage, but many of the shrubs' colors were still brilliant.
Hi Cecelia, I am enjoying going through your blog and am jealous of all the opportunity you have for plein air outings. It is so important to get out to look and paint from life. Only then can you really appreciate the texture, colors... which you captured so well in the painting above. I also want to thank you for taking the time to comment on my posts at DPP. I really appreciate all the nice things you have to share.
